Ispirato a James Dean che trascorse l’ultima estate della sua vita girando “Giant” a Marfa Texas, nel 1955, “Plains” segue i singoli “Element” e “Death in Midsummer”. Why Hasn’t Everything Already Disappeared? sarà disponibile in digitale, su vinile grigio e su CD dal 18 gennaio 2019.
L’ottavo album dei Deerhunter dimentica le domande e mette insieme delle risposte non collegate tra loro. Si sveglia, va in giro, si registra in diversi punti strategici in giro per il Nord America. Torna a casa, si riarrangia e torna a letto per evitare la brutta notizia.
I Deerhunter hanno scritto un album di fantascienza sul presente. È necessario oggi? È rilevante? Forse solo per un pubblico ristretto.
