La cantante, cantautrice, produttrice e DJ britannica Romy pubblica oggi l'ultimo video tratto dal suo acclamato album di debutto da solista Mid Air. Interpretato dall'attrice Maisie Williams, diretto da Vic Lentaigne, moglie e collaboratrice di Romy, e in partnership con il noto brand per capelli Schwarzkopf, il video di "She's On My Mind" cattura l'emozione di una notte e si sposa perfettamente con l'euforia giocosa della canzone. Co-prodotto da Fred again..., Stuart Price e Avalon Emerson, "She's On My Mind" è diventato un pezzo forte dell'album per i fan e la critica, descritto dal Guardian come semplicemente "fantastico" e da Pitchfork come "unreservedly joyful", oltre a una serie di riconoscimenti.

Mid Air è un album che parla di celebrazione, rifugio e salvezza sulla pista da ballo. È un album che affronta i temi dell'amore, del dolore, delle relazioni, dell'identità e della sessualità ed è una lettera d'amore ai club queer in cui Romy ha trovato comunità e legami. In un certo senso è un album di coming out, anche se lei ha fatto coming out nella sua vita personale molto tempo fa, ma è anche un album di coming-through, attraverso il dolore e lo strazio, verso l'euforia.

Mid Air vede Romy lavorare di nuovo con i produttori Fred again... e Stuart Price, oltre che con il suo compagno di band Jamie xx nel recente singolo "Enjoy Your Life". L'album contiene anche il precedente singolo "Strong". Mid Air è l'incarnazione perfetta di un suono che Romy descrive come "musica emotiva da ballare". È un sound destinato a unire le piste da ballo, che unisce l'amore di Romy per i classici da discoteca e il songwriting, trovando il punto di equilibrio, come gran parte della musica preferita di Romy, tra euforia, evasione, tristezza e malinconia.
