Dopo il singolo “Lemon” insieme a Rihanna, un altro straordinario featuring per i N.E.R.D (Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo e Shae Haley): questa volta è KENDRICK LAMAR a prestare la sua voce in “Don’t Don’t Do It”, il nuovo singolo dei N.E.R.D. in rotazione radiofonica da venerdì 12 gennaio.

Il brano è tratto da “NO_ONE EVER REALLY DIES”, l’album considerato dalla stampa internazionale uno dei migliori del 2017 e che arriva a 7 anni di distanza dal precedente, “Nothing”. Il disco rappresenta un vero e proprio ritorno alle origini per Pharrell, Re Mida della musica: i testi politici e impegnati sono principalmente incentrati sulla questione razziale, tema che da sempre sta molto a cuore al rapper/produttore/stilista. Un disco che vanta prestigiose collaborazioni, quali Ed Sheeran, Future, M.I.A, Gucci Mane e Andrè 3000, oltre ai già citati Rihanna e Kendrick Lamar.

I N.E.R.D. (acronimo che corrisponde appunto a No One Ever Really Dies), geniale gruppo dal sound riconoscibile ma poco classificabile, che unisce rock, elettronica, funk e hip hop, mancavano dalle scene musicali dal 2010. Da allora Pharrell Williams si è dedicato alla sua carriera da solista e a molti altri progetti collaterali, dalla produzione di album di altri artisti fino alla moda. I N.E.R.D, nati nel 2001 da un’iniziativa sua e di Chad Hugo, sono però sempre rimasti un progetto prioritario.
