La band indie pop San Cisco, dopo ‘On The Line’, torna con la seconda anticipazione “Messages’ e annuncia ‘Between You And Me’, il nuovo album in arrivo il 4 settembre per Nettwerk.
‘Messages’ è un connubio perfetto tra ritmi accattivanti e ricchi di groove e un testo profondo, ed è descritto da Jordi Davieson, voce e chitarra del trio, come “a tongue-in-cheek bop about shitty friends. Originally the lyrics where loosely inspired by my frustration with Scarlett never replying to my messages, but when we decided the track would be much better with her singing vocals instead, she added in a few of her annoyances about me. It turned into quite a constructive process for our friendship! She still never replies to messages’
Il nuovo album, il quarto in studio per il trio australiano, è stato registrato tra Mullumbimby in Northern New South Wales e lo studio personale della band a Fremantle con il collaboratore e produttore di lunga data Steve Schram insieme a James Ireland (POND).
‘Between You and Me’ esplora i concetti di amore, perdita, dolore, redenzione e oltre al nuovo brano ‘Messages’ contieni anche i singoli “When I Dream” e “Skin,” entrambi entrati nella classifica ‘Australia’s triple j Hottest 100 songs’, e i brani “Reasons’ e “On the Line”.
