St. Vincent – aka Annie Clark – annuncia il suo nuovo album

‘MASSEDUCTION’, in uscita il 13 ottobre su Loma Vista Recordings. I temi principali di questo lavoro sono il potere, il sesso, la morte e le relazioni pericolose precendentemente affrontati in ‘St. Vincent’. Le tredici tracce che compongono ‘MASSEDUCTION’ sono un turbinio di chitarra, piano, sintetizzatori, archi e batteria. L’album è stato co-prodotto da St. Vincent e Jack Antonoff all’Electric Lady Studios a Manhattan, tranne alcune registrazioni extra al Rough Consumer Studio a Brooklyn e al Compound Fracture in Los Angeles.

“Ogni disco che creo è un archetipo” dice Clark “In ’Strange Mercy’ ero una ‘Casalinga fatta di pillole’, in ‘St. Vincent’ “Capo di una setta del prossimo futuro’.

Per ‘MASSEDUCTION’ è diverso, è un lavoro piuttosto personale. I fatti non sono verificabili, ma se volete conoscere qualcosa della mia vita bisogna ascoltare questo disco” ha spiegato Clark.

Oggi, Clark pubblica anche il nuovo brano “Los Ageless”, tratto da ‘MASSEDUCTION”.

Il video di New York è uscito la settimana scorsa e Vogue lo ha definito “una festa visiva”.

‘MASSEDUCTION’ è il culmine di anni di scrittura, di memo vocali, messaggi e frammenti di melodie creati dall’artista mentre viaggiava per il mondo.
Gli ospiti speciali di ‘MASSEDUCTION’ sono Thomass Bartlett al piano, Kamasi Washington al saxofono, Jenny Lewis alla voce e Sounwave ha prodotto i beat.

Greg Leisz e Rich Hinman hanno aggiunto i pedal steel e Tuck&Patti Andress hanno contribuito alle chitarre e alle voci su alcune tracce.

Come annunciato in precedenza, il “Fear The Future Tour” inzierà il 7 ottobre con una perfermance speciale ai Paramount Pictures Studio “New York Street” durante il Red Bull Music Academy Festival.

L’album omonimo ‘St Vincent’ (2014) è stato acclamato dalla critica e dal pubblico, raggiungendo la vetta di molte classifiche di fine anno e ottenendo una nomination ai GRAMMY® per la categoria Best Alternative Music Album nel 2015. Poco dopo (2014), Clark si è esibita con i Nirvana per la Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

Nel 2015 Clark ha vinto l’ASCAP Vanguard Award ed è stata ambasciatrice del Record Store Day del 2017.
