Il trio di Sidney ha lasciato il segno con l’album di debutto del 2016, Hills End, Disco D’oro in Australia, è stato particolarmente apprezzato nel Regno Unito. Ora la band è pronta a pubblicare il nuovo album For Now, diponibile dal 27 aprile 2018.

Prodotto dalla band e da Kim Moyes dei The Presets, For Now è una raccolta di brani rock’n’n roll passionali ed emotivi. Un assaggio di quello che ci aspetta, è stato dato l’anno scorso quando è stato pubblicato il primo singolo “Dawning”.

Quella purezza e quella padronanza compositiva si possono ammirare nel nuovo singolo “In The Air” che è stato premiato da triple j. È una bellissima ballad dal testo sognante, che dimostra il grande talento della band nello scrivere canzoni pop.

L’elemento che maggiormente ha permesso ai DMA’S di trasformare il loro sound, è la voce di Tommy O’Dell, arricchita da nuovi elementi soul.

“L’ultima volta stavamo ancora cercando di capire che tipo di band volevamo essere,” ammette Johnny Took. “Abbiamo ancora quell’aspetto strimpellante e rock’n’roll, ma è maturato sotto certi aspetti. È un processo naturale per la band.”

For Now sarà disponibile su CD, in vinile rosso edizione limitata, su audiocassetta e in digitale sulle principali piattaforme di streaming.
