Beauty School Dropout - blow my high (Radio Date: 09-11-2023)

“...their creativity, ambition and eagerness to not just replicate songs of a bygone era but create something completely their own is what has got Beauty School Dropout to this stage” - NME

“Beauty School Dropout are on a fast-moving ascent” - AltPress

“Saturated with heavy guitar riffs, catchy choruses and invigorating percussion” -
Grammy.com

“Channeling Brit-rock with LA attitude and just a bit of glam rock, pop punk, classic rock ‘n roll, and everything in between” - Euphoria

Exploding rock trio Beauty School Dropout have released their addictive new single ‘blow my high’, taken from their critically acclaimed sophomore album ‘READY TO EAT’, available to stream now on all DSPs worldwide via pioneering VC label Verswire. The highly-anticipated follow up effort to 2022’s We Made Plans and God Laughed features a collection of radio-ready anthems, highlighted by “beautiful waste,” “one night stand you,” and their celebrated collab with JXDN, “FREAK.”

BSD have been non-stop road warriors throughout 2023, including the first leg of
Blink 182’s arena tour, opening for Matchbox Twenty in front of 16,000 fans, supporting JXDN on his U.S. tour, 4 shows at Lollapalooza (including the BMI stage in front of 3k fans), UK + European dates with Maggie Lindemann and Stand Atlantic, and Download Fest’s 20 Year Anniversary.

“The Blink tour was so surreal,” the band said in an interview with Fault Magazine. “Both Blink and Turnstile are quite literally our favorite bands ever. It was such an honor getting to know the two groups. It was so cool to see Blink’s synergy on stage and how clearly happy everyone is that Tom is back and Mark is healed.”

Beauty School Dropout was signed by A&R
Mark Hoppus under the new label Verswire with Pete Wentz and Sherry Saeedi, and have been turning heads since 2022. Resurrecting heavy guitar tones, charging drums, and sticky melodies, the band simultaneously stays true to the relatable and timeless emotional lyrics we all love. Their debut album, We Made Plans And God Laughed released last year, has currently garnered over 20 million streams and featured an amazing list of collaborative efforts including the feature of Mark Hoppus in “Almost Famous.” The creation of the album has had the band working with hit-making writers and producers, Andrew Goldstein, Inverness, Slush Puppy, Ryan Follese, Nash Overstreet, and Dan Book, along with game-changing collabs with jxdn, Royal & the Serpent, and others.

Since their inception, the band has claimed global attention. The album’s title track landed
Tune of The Week at BBC1 and “Freak” and “Almost Famous” were supported in Spotify’s coveted New Music Friday. They’ve also been crowned Spotify’s New Noise cover stars in the wake of their recent single “beautiful waste,” in addition to being championed by the likes of Billboard, NME, AltPress, Rocksound, Kerrang, Euphoria, Grammy.com, Sirius, Ones to Watch, & others.

Mark Hoppus says on the band,
“I’m always impressed by how hard these guys work, their talent and uncompromising creativity, and their dedication to their fans.”
