ST. LUNDI - Alone Over Christmas

ST. LUNDI - Alone Over Christmas

Alone Over Christmas’ is a touching new single by St. Lundi, set for release on November 24th. This piano-driven ballad, co-written with Johnny Hockings, known for his work with Mimi Webb and Lauren Aquilina, is imbued with the kind of storytelling and production that could set the heart-warming scenes of a John Lewis Christmas advert.

St. Lundi has pledged to donate all profits from the song to the Portsmouth Foodbank - part of the Trussell Trust network - which has provided vital support to his hometown community.

The recording features The Vox and Hayling Youngstars community choirs and was recorded at the iconic Quay West Studios in Portsmouth - a site of significance for St. Lundi as it’s the first studio that he ever recorded music in. St. Lundi plans a series of local performances and is in discussions with Portsmouth FC to involve the football club's fanbase in supporting the single.

A video directed by Oli Brotherhood, also known as Mumbo Jumbo, captures the essence of "Alone Over Christmas." Brotherhood's impressive following of over 9 million YouTube subscribers presents an opportunity to rally a vast audience for the charitable cause.

On December 15th, St. Lundi is set to headline at The Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth, marking his largest headline show to date.

St. Lundi had his first big break writing and performing ‘To Die For’, which featured on Kygo’s US Gold certified album ‘Golden Hour’. His breakthrough solo single ‘Nights Like This’ soon followed and has streamed over 70 million times, as well as charting in Germany, Belgium, Norway and Portugal. In 2022, he toured Europe playing over 100 shows including his own EU headline tour and sharing the stage with Irish indie-pop stars Kodaline.

Both of his 2023 releases ‘Fall’ and ‘Ready To Be Loved’ have been added to the BBC Radio 2’s playlist and this was backed up by a first hometown festival performance in front of thousands at Portsmouth’s Victorious Festival.

With his debut album ‘The Island’ - which heavily features his experiences of growing up on Hayling Island - planned for 2024 and a charity single ‘Alone Over Christmas’ released before this, there are exciting times ahead for what could be Portsmouth’s first internationally acclaimed artist for decades.
