Annuncia nuove date europee + Pitchfork Music Festival Berlin a novembre

Mykki Blanco, che il britannico GQ Style ha definito "one of the most arresting leftfield artists to have emerged in the last decade", annuncia oggi l'uscita del prossimo EP Postcards From Italia, in uscita il 22 settembre 2023 via Transgressive. Prodotto ancora una volta insieme al musicista e produttore elettronico FaltyDL, l'EP di 6 tracce Postcards from Italia si propone di esplorare un lato del suono di Mykki che non è stato mai esplorato prima, descritto da Blanco come la sua " Italian cowboy era".
 
L'annuncio arriva insieme al nuovo singolo "Holidays In The Sun", brano di chiusura dell'EP e prima novità musicale dopo l'uscita dell'acclamato album Stay Close To Music nel 2022. Un brano rave carico di funk con un ritmo inarrestabile e irresistibile, "Holidays In The Sun" abbraccia il suono inimitabile di Mykki con l'aggiunta di strati di musica dance europea anni '90,
 
Parlando del nuovo singolo, Mykki Blanco afferma: “Holidays In The Sun” was created funnily enough in a basement in Portugal on Christmas Eve. Produced by William Eaves of Somerset, written by Mykki Blanco with additional writing and vocals by artist ZamZam, the song is a feel good summer anthem about lazy summer days swimming in the sea, hopping from one music festival to the next, feeling good about life and living la dolce vita soaking up the sun. The song is a summer rave bop with nods to 90s euro dance and acid house stretching itself, hitting every corner of the world from the beaches of Ibiza and Naples to warehouses parties in London and Berlin. ENJOY!”
